The eyes are level with the beak and about 1/4 of the way in. I then finished with the eyes using a black permanent marker pen. When this was dry I used super glue for the cock comb and beak, plus PVA for the legs. Once I had all my parts ready I primed and painted using acrylic. I drilled into the chicken body part to sink the legs in like a dowel.
